THE CONTEMPORARY FIX @ HK WOODHOUSE

I first heard news of the Contemporary Fix opening in Hong Kong about a year ago, and I thought to myself, that is great, its one of the most nicely curated stores that I know of in the world,  actually I have been following Yoshi for some time now, from his beginnings at the infamous “loveless” store in Aoyama Tokyo, to his transition now to “the contemporary fix” his taste is impeccable.

Here is the entrance to the underground mall, Woodhouse. Newly open and is transforming this address into something interesting and a place to visit.

the current theme is “the gentlemen championship” and its reference to the gentelmen and with a sporty tennis cool royalty factor.

all together the store is very well curated with a list of contemporary Japanese brands from Aoyama.

also with Yoshi’s amazing touch, the once raw space has been transformed into a carefully curated space appealing to those who not only like sports, but also likes a swag and memorabilia from the late 80’s to 90’s

the space is actually set up to resemble “tennis” or Wimbledon meets preppy USA meets Japan advanced culture. Each wooden locker showcasing each of the brands.

to the reverse side of the store which has a different set up, i see Facestism, Plumpynuts, Nuggets, Made by Monsters, Mastermind Japan, Whiz, Pheneomenon,

the special collaboration piece of “made by monsters” run by Chris and ron english especially for the contemporary fix.

so cool grenade key chain’s…

Here is Yuichi Yoshii the creative director of “THE CONTEMPORARY FIX” the genius behind the former Loveless, and the now shut down Celux (The Louis Vuitton VIP shopping space in Tokyo) and PARIYA

vintage magazine cut outs from magazines all over america.

amazing packaging, its always refreshing to see such great retail establishments set foot in Hong Kong.

it is said that the new stock gets replenished every week, so stay tuned.
